General Order No. 166
THURSDAY, 23RD JULY.
1. Regimetal Stretcher Bearers, in the proportion of four per Squadron, and two per Company or Battery, will wear, when parading as such, an armlet of special pattern, similar to that worn in the Imperial Service, namely:- A white web band, with the letters "S.B." in red upon it.
2. Non-commissioned Officers and Men, as above, who have qualified in Stretcher Bearer drill, will obtain a certificate of proficiency, and so long as they maintain their annual efficiency in Ambulance work, will wear a badge consisting of the letters "S.B." in a monogram, in red and blue, upon a white ground, enclosed within a red circle 1 1/2 inches external diameter.
The badge will be worked on cloth, the same material as the jacket or tunic, and worn on the right arm above the elbow.
3. To insure efficiency, all trained Stretcher Bearers will be required to attend at least four (4) Stretcher Drills annually.
